my taz on Friday night was rushed to emergency vets after closing hours when I notice that he had lost the use of his back legs I was so upset cause I had no idea what was wrong xrayed showed that he had a spinal injury and was kept in over ngt as he was not passing urine or pellets and was told he might not make it as this was causing a bloat of the stomach and was told he may not make the night I was broke when they told me that I have no idea how he done this injury as they on fleece unless he fell over front of the platform which now has been removed for few weeks and going to be re vamped I'm pleased to say that my georgous tough boy is back on his feet he due back to vets tommorrow for check up the thought of losing that boy would of been sad as he only 2 yrs old also one of my Piggys has the start of uri can I use sudofed bottle form medicine and if so which one and what dosage

What a shock, glad he is on the mend though. Is he on anti-inflammatories?

If it is a URI Children's Sudafed would help the symptoms but he would need antibiotics to clear it. Please get him checked by the vet. If he is snuffly ask for Bisolvon too which helps clear any mucous. Also get them to listen to his chest and his he has fluid he will need diuretics.

Steam therapy can also help. Use 2 drops of Olbas oil in a bowl of hot water next to the cage. You can also use a steam inhaler if you have one. Hold over the nose in 5 second bursts.

Please always have a piggy with URI seen by a vet, preferably on the smae or the next day. they will need antibiotics to clear it.

I am glad that your boy has recovered so well from his back injury!

PS: Could you please not write all in one go even whe posting from a phone? It makes your posts very difficult to read and to understand, the more so the longer they are. We have got members from all over the world and not all are native English speakers.
