My 5yr old guinea pig boar was just diagnosed with Spindle Cell Sarcoma.
The Vet did a needle aspiration of the lump on his right side.
He is going to have surgery to remove, but we are doing x-ray's first to see if it has metastasized.
I have been looking for information and found a thread on your site dated 10/27/15 - 10/29/15, and watched it. There was only 4 posts. I was hoping I might get more feed back about it?
My Vet in US has never encountered it in Guinea Pigs.

I’m sorry to hear that. I don’t know much about it, but I hope everything turns out okay!

I'm sorry to hear this,i cannot offer any experience in guinea pigs.though ive seen it twice in humans.take each day as it comes.positive healing thoughts are sent your way.

I have just seen your thread. I’ve no experience but just wanted to offer support. What a shock for you.

Many sarcomas are locally invasive (e.g. The skin in this case). If your vet can get good margins around the growth then there is a chance it is curable and will not return after the surgery. Good luck with your piggie.
