Ive been out (personal problems with my children) and when i come back turk and j.d had had a fight because j.d's lip is busted up! I'm lost for answers, previous owner said they didnt fight, altho when they were picked up my other half noticed ones ear was slit in half. I'm taking action against previous owner with rspca just dont know what to do about my boys!

Sorry to hear your boys have been fighting. Sometimes you can do everything right, but once they settle into a new home they can sometimes re-establish their dominance and start fighting.

What size cage/hutch are they in, and how old are the boys?

Exactly the same thing happened with my boys: they had absolutely fine together for a few months and then suddenly started fighting and Tigger turned up with a split lip one morning after a noisy night.

They are still living apart now, and its clear when they're having floortime that the fighting is dominance and territory based. I'm sorry it hasn't worked out for you, but you might find that they can both be on your lap for cuddles at the same time, like mine do.

Similarly, both mine have split ears, which I'm guessing they got when they established their dominance early on.

They are just starting their hormonal teen period. Due to the injuries you might want to seperate them to calm down and maybe try them again another day. Can you put a devider in their current house so they can see each other and not be lonely? Do they have two of everything? bowls, houses that kind of thing.
