Daisy appears to have hard split skin on her foot, hard skin either end of her mouth (almost like she had been wearing a bit same as a horse) and tiny bits of what looks like skin on her back. Has she got some sort of skin complaint? We have been keeping an eye on her as Donna thinks she could be pregnant - her weight gain over the last 4 weeks has been 25g overall with 19g of that put on over the past 7 days. Should I give her a dose of Ivermectin in case it's mites?

That doesn't sound like mites to me but I'm not an expert. Can you get some pics? That might make it easier to tell. If you think she might be pregnant I would check with the vet before giving her anything.

I agree that some pictures may help, although if the problem is spreading it's a good idea to check in with the vet anyway. :)

I've tried to take a picture but Daisy is point blank refusing to co-operate! The only way I can describe it is that on her foot she has got three ball bits - two together and a single one below and it's between the single and the double where it looks split. I've got to take my chickens back to the vet next week so I think I'll take Daisy along too just to be on the safe side

Daisy's been to the vet and she's not pregnant (phew). He said her feet are just oddly shaped and there's nothing wrong with them. Her mouth has been caused by too much cage biting and will clear given time - she doesn't cage bite with us so I'm guessing she was either very lonely, bored or hungry before we had her. He gave us some bsp nanovits to add to Daisy's and the lads water. So apart from being abit round (vets words not mine, I dread to think what he'd say about Sweep who is half Daisy's age and the same weight) Daisy is in good health :)
