So my family has been pretty well quarantined since March... I always work from home, my husband has been told to work from home until at least Jan 2021, and the three kids are remote schooling. This means there are a lot of people around all the time, and the pigs have figured at that this means lots of human servants can go get snacks. In the past couple of months, Hadley has started wheeking at us for food every time she hears someone upstairs and at times if we don't come through she gets good and angry with us! Once my youngest walked past the cage and stopped to pat them, then went upstairs (where the food comes from!) to get her phone and then came back downstairs without treats which the pigs were clearly expecting... Hadley screamed at her so loud that my husband came down from two floors up wondering what all the racket was! She is a spoiled quarantine princess... I think the pigs will be disappointed if we ever get out of lockdown!

I am having s similar problem with my piggies. I am working in the 'piggy room' now and every time i leave the room and come back they expect a treat. If i dare bring fruit with me and don't share it there is lots of annoyed wheeking and bar chewing. It's my own fault as i gave into the noise at first but now i am trying to be strong and they get a bit of banana skin or a 1/4 of grape occasionally. I also keep some cardboard tubes (from toilet rolls) full of hay near my desk and put them into the cages if they become to insistent.

I am not allowed to open the fridge between the hours of 3-5:30pm as they think it’s dinner time! They get excited every time I enter the room but I have to keep telling myself stay strong they do not need a treat 😂

The quarantine has worked out so well for our piggies! They must feel the world is finally in proper order with their slaves always handy to provide their treats. Mine will positively scream at me if fail to provide them with treats every time I walk by. I keep a supply of seed heads ready to try not to overdue the veggies, but they aren’t always fooled by my healthy treat option. :)

I sometimes try to just poke hay through the bars for them... Leela always eats it, but Hadley takes it, drops it, and resumes staring expectantly at me...

Tallulah "skinny" pig now weighs a kilo... that's all lockdown begging chub, she gained 150g, like 15% extra body weight... I didnt really notice til my daughter came round and said "Tallulah got fat" then I got out the scales... yup, I confess, I supersized my skinny pig with lockdown snacks! But she wheeks so loud, I cant give a zoom lecture without giving her enough food to keep her quiet for an hour!
