Hi when I first got my piggies a month ago I was feeding them both 2-3ozs each a day.
They are about 3-4months old now males.
I took the advice from a friend to do 7ozs twice a day each or total of 1.4ozs each a day. Well they eat it up before 4pm. And they have 4pm to 10am. For more and when they eat they are territorial and when there out they chatter teeth and want to fight no blood yet I can see.
I know there getting exactly 1.4ozs a day each now.
I have a new food weigher.
A
Veggies:I keep all there veggies in a single bag and it's all spoiling now. They have a month left in that bag but now they have a few days it's spoiling should I keep each veggie in its own bag?
Green pepper.
Zukini.
Green beans not the canned version.
And a few other veggies.

Also.
There getting there new cage soon. Should I keep one house on one side with a bowl and feeder and a water bottle and the same for the other side so they can have more space and don't get territorial?
I also forget to weigh them that was the whole reason I bought the weigher lol. But I use it for the food everyday so that's good.

Some days I'm right out the door and don't have time to give them veggies. Those days should I give them a little more pellets than normally?
there pellets are vitamin boosters with dried little carrots and dried veggies.
I would also like to add. There pellets and veggies is that okay?
I'm winging them off the vitamin pellets to Timothy pellets because they stopped selling the vitamin pellets at my store now.
Thanks

No, don't give them more pellets! lol. I made that mistake with two of our boars, they are now a bit overweight so I've started to reduce their pellets. See with the other guinea's I can put whatever in and they know to eat more hay over pellets, but with the two "teen" boars, forget it, one seems a bit weird with certain hay and I think the other is mimicking him so they both eat or seem to eat more pellet than hay, naughty boys, so atm I'm trying to find out which hey they like :)

Here's a food guide for you so you can see what's fine and what's not.

http://www.happycavy.com/what-can-guinea-pigs-eat/

Always make sure they have plenty of hay, that's their main food source, read below.

https://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk...or-a-balanced-general-guinea-pig-diet.116460/

Veggies should be kept in a fridge, if you find they are going rotten split them up and see if that helps. I never have mine together so I wouldn't know.

Don't split them unless they fight and draw blood, when you get the new cage just make sure you put two of everything in, bowls, bottles, beds etc. hopefully they'll get on better :D

Is there no way your wife can give them a bit of veg while your out? or can you get up a little earlier to chop some up for them? Our's eat twice a day, first thing in the morning, then again late afternoon. We obviously split the amount they have :)

Try not to stress, your meant to enjoy having guinea's! :)

I hope the information helps :)

I read the food link you gave, how do I get then to eat the hay instead of fighting. I don't have Timothy hay because it gave my wife pink eye within a day and my baby broke in rashes.
So I gave them Timothy hay away and they are getting orchard now.
They both each have two of everything including two hay racks

It doesn't matter if it's Timothy, Orchard, Meadow, INGS, as long as they are getting hay, they need a constant supply of it :) We have ours in "hay bags" but my Mum made those. Some have it in trays, some in hay racks (that are safe), I've also seen hay racks made out of C&C grids :D

What do you define as fighting? Are you sure what your seeing isn't normal humping and dominance behaviour?

When it comes to no more pellets they get on there back legs and stand some times they go side to side and turn there heads to each other on there sides and teeth chatter.
Some times going to each other face really close and slowly teeth chattering.
