Hello everyone.

Alicia, Declan, myself and all the residents at Guinea Pig Shelter Norwich wish to sincerely thank everyone for their donations towards the 'Swelter for the Shelter' challenge.

As you are aware, the walk took place all of last weekend and we can now let you all know that the children managed to raise a fantastic £629 plus £129 in feed vouchers from the large manufacturers.

We have already purchased a new shed that was offered to us at half the retail price and a new double hutch. These are being erected as we speak. Good job too as we were asked on Friday to take in 40 - 50 guinea pigs from an animal park where the control of them has gone terribly wrong and they have all been left to roam free without being neutered or spayed.

Alicia has drawn the names for the Gorgeousguineas vouchers and the first prize of £10 goes to Sueg and the second prize of £5 goes to Lavanderjade. I'll send your vouchers in the post this week.

Thanks again guys and gals all our piggies will be warm and safe this winter as a result.

xx

Thats a fantastic amount of money! Well done to all of you ;)

Well done for raising that amount of money, Claire!
Congratulate your kids from me too.

40 - 50 piggies .... wow, that is alot of piggies!

Hope everything goes ok with them all but we know that they are in very safe hands with you!

Take care xx

Well, firstly thank you so much for my GG vouchers - a lovely surprise, as I never win anything!

But more importantly, many congratulations to Alicia and Declan - that is an incredible amount to have raised for the piggies, and I think they are both to be commended on their efforts.

And excellent news about the "half price shed" - sad to hear about so many piggies suddenly needing to be rescued, but thank goodness you are able to take them in.

Well done to you all.

Here you go everyone, a picture of the new shed that has been purchased with money from the donations for the sponsored walk. Thanks everyone.
