Hi everyone! Recently I bought a vacuum for fleece spot cleaning and I love it to death. It makes everything so much easier, but, I have a question. Should I leave the girlies in there while I vacuum up the poops or should I take them out? Lately the past 2 times I've done it I kept them in there and it scares them to death. Will they just get used to it or is it too much stress?

They would probably get used to it eventually but its probably best to take them out. It will be much less stressful for them and they can come back to a nice clean home afterwards :)) Hope that helped x

I leave mine in when doing this. To start they were really scared but now they get all excited and start popcorning as they know hoover poops means fresh hay on the way :)

I don't have a hand held hoover but used my large one on low suction and left it outside the room just stretched the hose to the cage so the noise was mainly outside the room. They were more bothered that I was fiddling with their cage and worried I might decide to pick them up. They don't like being picked up yet love the cuddles they get. Does peeing on me mean I love you mum? Cause they have both peed on me during cuddles lol.

Thats for the input everyone. :)) I figured out that I can leave Allie and Lillith in their cage because they just hide in their huts but I have to take Rusty out. She got so worked up today she was trying to climb the side of the cage.

How about putting them in a carrier on the other side of the room and gradually move them closer to the cage until you think you can leave them in?

Personally i remove them as it's extra cuddles for them and they won't feel like they are being chased

Our piggies used to run to one end of the pen but now just sit there - lost count of how many times I've hoovered around them and had to hand poop pick. It's like a game they play now seeing who gives in first, me or them :) Sends them into a popcorning frenzy when they hear me plug it in...
I've had piggies nibble on the hose too, it's all good fun here trying to clean the little monsters out :)

Instead of continuously taking them out every day, i'd just leave them to get used to it, and eventually they'll just get out of your way and won't mind it.

When I first hoovered the bunny shed, my bunnies wern't happy at all.. They binky when they hear the hoover now!

Thanks guys :) I was just worried of Rusty getting too over worked and having a heart attack or something. I'll leave her in when I clean it today.
Its weird because when I clean Lillith and Allies cage, Rusty's fine, but, when it comes to her cage she goes crazy.
I'll just leave her in there and see if she starts getting any better or worse or the next week or two.

I tend to take my piggies out and put them in a small cuddly dog bed whilst i hoover their cage. I have left them in the cage when it only needs a quick hoover and they dont seem to mind, i think after a while they get used to the sound of the hoover

I leave my boys in, At first they used to hide, but now they are so used to it that they come up and jump all over my hands. It took them a couple of days to get used to the noise, but I'm glad I decided to leave them in. I always top up their hay after doing a poop clean up.
