This sounds really weird but would it be possible to make a spray for my guinea pig cage like blend cucumber and water and spray the cage as it comes close to the cleaning day to give a of a fresh smell

Think if you sprayed cucumber the piggies would be like a pack of ravenous wolves and would eat the walls and furniture!
I dont think there's a good way of creating a clean cage smell except by cleaning it unfortunately, but if you were very pushed for time and use disposable bedding you might put a few clean handfuls on top to mask the smell and protect the piggie's feet for 24 hours or so...

To be honest if the cage is smelling, and this isn't sorted out by airing the room, then it is probably in need of a clean.
Depending on what bedding you are using I find that having large hay trays which are totally cleaned every second day, and removable pee pads which are refreshed as needed, than the main cage clean is not needed as often.
But when it smells it needs doing, and spraying it won't really help.
