Spraying Wee?

my youngest piggy Molly and one of my eldest Sky have been arguing of late. It gets better then gets worse again. I cleaned them out today which seemed to trigger some extra arguments but otherwise not so bad. However, I saw Molly spray wee at Sky which I've not seen before. Is it time I separate them?

No, spray weeing is part of it, but it not the strongest bit. Have you had your girls checked for hormones/ovarian cysts? Sometimes sows, like humans, can get into trouble with each other and then you have to work around it to see who is best with who. Group dynamics are not static, they develop constantly.

They are off to the vets on Tuesday so I was going to ask then. I can't clip wriggly nails on my own - especially black ones so I go to the vets. I was going to ask whether they could check them over for ovary or hormone issues. The others join in occasionally, but it's mainly those two.

It depends on the age. Teenage girls can have strong seasons and hormonal times, but they generally do not have ovarian cysts, and as their hormonal swings rarely lead to fights and fall-outs, they are less known.
 
My baby sow Melody pee-attacks the dominant pig, River, whenever she's getting a little TOO dominant. River has never done it in my presence, and I'm not sure she does it at all. Maybe it depends on pig personality. I DO have to wipe down the coroplast once a week to pick up splashes.
 
I've had my hand sprayed with pee when they don't want to be picked up!
 
@SkinnyPigRiver @JenniferG I haven't seen it before... it does explain the extra wee marks I've seen.

The piggies seem to have settled down again a little bit so fingers crossed it's mostly over with. I'm still asking at the vets to make sure though.
