I was wondering if anyone was having a similar problem.

I can't get hold of Spring Greens anywhere. I asked someone in Morrissons and she said that they can find them...

I'm in Manchester, anywhere else having the same problem?

I was in Tescos yesterday and they had loads - I know Norfolk is a bit of a trek just for some greens though!

Asda still have them in plenty at 78p each. I get a pack every week for my lot!
I KNEW there was a reason i go into Tescos... 50p! They always have offeres on exactly what i need for my pigs and buns...
Right off there later on then!

Whereabouts in Manchester are you?

We get ours from Tesco's they are by the ready to cook Veg and it's 99p for a bag thats all cut and ready to use.

i get my lot spring greens every week and never haave problem getting them

but i will stop buying from tescos bnow - i am on my 4rth pack this month and all have been in terrible state, eaten up by caterpilars and actually found a massive nest of them in one bag - i deicded to throw it away in the end and just bought new stuff from my local greengrocer.

Well, Stockport actually. I go to the one in Cheadle heath, they haven't had any for about 2 weeks now.
Very occasionally they have the sliced spring greens, so I have maged to get some.

I need them for my Bearded Dragon really, they are high in calcium so good for him.

P.S - I will never shop at Tesco's. Any animal lover shouldn't.

I was going to suggest the Tescos in Didsbury near the cinema but wont now!
I dont like Tescos as a rule and prefer Sainsburys but my pocket is outweighing my principles at the moment...:{

I buy whole ones from Tesco and occasionally ALDI - unless I'm in town and then I buy them from the greengrocers in town.

I usually get mine from Asda ... whole leaves with stalks, if you know what I mean. Not ready to cook.
They were a little more expensive this week. The assistant told me that it was because they were Cornish.
Smaller amount also, I think.

I have to say that I never eat Spring Greens myself as I buy them for the piggies. I like cabbage with my Sunday joint so perhaps I should try them.

I put the whole ones in the pigs tube so they eat it from either end. It keeps them busy for a good half a day, if not longer, and they get very excited when they find the fresh basil I've hidden in amongst the spring green leaves.

Why? :{ We never go to tesco cos we think its allways too busy and inpersonal. Also the stuff is cheap there but not good value if you know what i mean? Like i find with fruit from there you have about an hour between it being under-ripe and hard and it turning to mush!
Best value greens are the ones we get from the greengrocer for free! They give them away to us cos they have a couple of scabby leaves on them!

Yeah i thought that? I dont think they sell anything with tortoise in do they?

Ps Sorry for bumping the thread.com I havnt been on in a while:)
