So the boys got their first outdoor session of the decade (!)yesterday as the temperature was finally high enough. For Pikachu and Wilbur it may well have been their first time ever on grass as we don't know their pre-rescue life. Not that the bunnies have left much grass. Must get some better photos and hoping that the grass starts growing faster now. Here's a photo of a slightly grumpy looking Biscuit/Budgie.

Our grass is worse than last year - lots of patches. I don’t know if I’ll put them out anytime soon.

I've had to re lay the lawn every year since we had the wee fellas! But it's good for them to feel the sun and the breeze when it's warm and dry enough. They also love eating the grass. Omlet cage to keep the foxes at bay and stop the pigs from straying.

We put ours outside twice last week, and it may have been their first time ever too (unknown about pre-adoption life) :-) They totally loved it! Couldn't get enough of the grass and bits of yarrow all over the place!

When you say relay, so you mean new turf? I’ve tried seeding once but nothing really happened. We’ve got more so may try again.

Yes, dig up the remnants of the old lawn, lay out the new and try to give it a chance to settle and wash off any nasty chemicals (just in case!) for a few days. Not too bothered about levelling as no need for a mechanical lawn mower.😀 Tried seeding but it's slow and the birds eat more than ever grows. 🐦

I think we may have to do that. It was in the plans but 🤷🏾‍♀️

A local garden centre is still doing deliveries or order and collect. Hoping that the recent rain will encourage the grass to grow faster. Been too cold for the piggies the last few days and limited the bunnies access but not much sign of recovery.
