Spring!?!?

I would always wash grass that came from a public place, in case it had dog wee or car fumes on it. I don't usually wash grass from my garden though, I don't have any other pets who might soil the grass.
My dad gave me some for the girls but I washed it as I am not sure if there had been any contamination from cats or dogs etc... we get loads of cats in our garden!

A wise precaution when one is unsure - better safe than sorry.
That's what I thought... I asked him to grow some last year for the piggies and it failed... he chucked it down into the garden and it grew lovely! So they are enjoying that at dinner time now!

Mine are the same - they have had fresh grass for the last 3 days, and now every time the door opens they wheek like air raid sirens.
It's lovely to be able to offer fresh grass again.
My piggies are the same! Well it started when we arrived from our holiday 2 weeks ago. We give them grass everyday since then and now everytime they hear the door to the garden being opened, oh my god , non stop wheeking! Today was the first time they've been out again in the garden since last summer. It was also first time for Vegas (we adopted her on Nov 2019). She was nervous being out but she'll get it eventually. :D

I bought some grass seeds, potting compost and seed trays a few weeks ago and as the weather is nice, I'll plant it out tomorrow and see what happens. I may get some Coriander seeds too. I don't seem to have inherited my lovely late Mum's green fingers when it comes to gardening. I think I may have half either blue or half yellow fingers. I haven't worked out which yet! :lol!:
