Put a big pile of fresh hay in both the boy’s cages just now. Sprout popcorned, then got down to the serious business of eating. Spud on the other hand...
Me: *Puts hay in*
Spud: *Popcorns wildly*
Me: *Chucks a bit of hay on top of him*
Spud: *Popcorns* *Has wild zoomies round his cage, scattering bedding everywhere- multiple times*

...I think he rather enjoys the hay being thrown in!
 
We have a haytime song "Hey, is it hay time? Hey, its hay time! Hay time! Hay time!" And all the piggies go mental racing up and down guessing where I'm going to throw the hay while I rustle the bag to build the anticipation :) I always put the hay in the same places (3 hay trays, a hayloft, and an on-the-floor hay room) but they can never guess where I'll put it first and they gallop about wheeking! Piggies do love their hay!

Oh yes, they do indeed!
 
Betsy has been know to stay all day in the hay tray then eat her way out. If she is in a hay tray day mood, Dennis is not allowed in but is allowed to eat the hay surrounding her :)
