Spurs

Oh heck now Ruby has me worrying about her now.

I clipped her nails today, last time was about three weeks ago.

She didn't have it then but she has a spur I on memory think it is where are little finger is. My guinea had one that passed away, is it ok to leave it? The vet left Sammy's alone.

It's just I looked it up and it says you can clip it, I don't fancy that.

Does anyone's guinea have them?

Cookie has spurs, don't worry about them they look worse than they are.

Spurs under the front paws are very frequent; about a quarter to a third of piggies develop them. They are nothing to worry about. You can cut them back if you wish, but be careful not to cut too closely to still live skin.

I think I will leave it be I daren't do it on Ruby she's too fidgety x

I too trim spurs, vets can do it if you can't just depends if they bother them or not

I trim the spurs on my boys, it is a delicate job to do though.
