My guinea pig sometimes squarks when having a poo and I wondered what could be causing it?
He doesn't do it all the time which is confusing me. Any help would be greatly apprecaited.
Thanks

I’m sorry I have no experience of this……id get your piggy checked by your Vet to be sure it’s nothing that needs treating.

It could be any number of things:
Are his poops normal when they come out?
Is he impacted at all?
Is his weight stable?

It would be best to see a vet and have him checked out

I’d pop him on a white blanket to check his urine too. It could be a UTI and it’s causing pain in the whole area. Good luck.

Hi

Wishing you all the best at the vets. How old is your piggy? It is most likely a milder pain issue of some sort in the lower spine or body that can impact on expressing slightly harder poos. But it needs a hands-on examination.

He’s a rescue so we don’t know his exact age. Around 2 to 2 and a half
