my guinea pig squeak is only 4 months of age and she hasn't been right since may i took her to the vets and he said that she had cystitis and it has came back bad she doesn't hardly eat and doesn't drink she is currently on medicine from the vets but I don't know what to do can anyone help.

First of all what are your piggies symptoms, apart from inappitance. Have you weighed her at all to find out if shes healthly gaining weight at all? What medication is she on? Is she still wetting herself? I find it odd that since she went for cystitis shes not right, it makes me wonder what meds she is on? How are her poo's?

Sorry lots of questions but it might help me help better if that makes sense.

its ok about all the questions the vet weighed her and she hasnt lost any weight she isnt wetting her self as she isnt weeing at all. The medication is called baytril and i have to put 0.1 of that and 0.4ml of water into a syringe and put it into her mouth that way

Okay, Bayril is enrofloxacin an antibiotic, this should clear up and cystitis or any infection that she may have. The best advise i can give on what youve said is to try to encourage her with her favorite foods. Maybe try soaking some pellets or asking the vets for some Recovery food or paste, Burgess do a fibrevore recovery paste with is great for convolesing pigs, or theres recovery paste food by oxbow which is good stuff. Maybe having a go at syringing some food. Keep an eye on her poo's/wee's. Make sure shes drinking adequate and eating as much as possible. I'd suggest if shes not properly for a couple of days get her to a vet. Does she struggle to eat? She may have a dental/oral problem. Did the vet look in her mouth on examination?

*If you havent seen her wee AT ALL, please get her to a Vet asap. She may have a blocked bladder, this can be a serious condition, this may be the reason why shes so lethargic. Having a blocked bladder can mean that toxins circulate around the blood as they are not being got rid of by the kidneys and bladder*

Please get her to a vet if she hasnt wee'd
