I noticed a little bit of blood on the floor time towel yesterday but didn't know which pig it came from since there are four of them. I checked them over and couldn't see any wounds so I assumed one of them just scratched themselves or something.
This morning I noticed some quiet, high-pitched squeaking and have narrowed it down to one pig who seems to squeak when he poos. I haven't noticed any bloody wee.

I'm thinking I should take him to the vet. But do I need to take his cage mate too? If it is a UTI, do they both need to be treated?
Thanks

It cant hurt to take them both, the vet will advise if they both need treatment, but if you could take a sample of his wee with you, the vets can check this for blood, as its not always visable, they can also do other checks on it. x

Thanks. How to I take a sample of his wee? Should I just sit him in a washing up bowl or something?

Yes sit him in a washing up bowl, feed lots of veggy treats and wait, then suck it up with a syringe and pop it in the fridge, but do this as close to the app as you can as it needs to be fresh, but be warned, they never wee when you want them too :)) x
