ive noticed roddy being a bit quieter today, so he is currently in bed with me so I can keep an eye on him. Anyway he has weed on me and he was squeaking a lot. I don't know if this is coninsedent as I was stroking him too. Also I've noticed while cleaning his bum tonight, it feels different. Almost like it's hard. He also seems funny me touching underneath just before his back leg. He might always be like it and I'm just worrying and noticing more.
Is there anything I need to look out for, or if something is wrong, any ideas please?

Possibly a UTI and the hard bits around his bum could be dried urine as they can leak wee when they have a UTI. Could you place him in a bucket and see if he pees while you aren't stroking him?

Ok thank you. The hardness around his bum, it feels more like something beneath the skin or like it's swollen or something..

I can put him in a bucket yes, what am I looking out for please?

Thank you for your reply!

Ah ok may not be urine then. Just to listen out for him squeaking as he pees for now, and to see if it is pink at all. You could also collect some for the vet to test though you may be better off doing that closer to the appointment if you get one.

Ok thank you. Well he's in a little tub now, I'll give him something to eat and keep an eye and ear out! Thank you very much! And I'm hoping I'll get him seen tommorrow

Thank you!

He hardly ever wee's when out of us cage so it probably will take a while..

Well, he had 2 wee's, no funny colour or anything and no squeaking? Shall I just keep an eye on him for a few days or take him to a piggy savvy vet straight away?
Thank you for all your help, it's very much appreciated!

I would probably keep an eye unless you want to get the strange bit checked out?

@helen105281 thank you so much for your help last night, Roddy seems perfectly fine this morning :-) so Ihave decided to just keep an eye on him at the moment! I know the lady I take my pigs to will see him straight away if need be :-)
Thank you again, really appreciated!
