Squinty Eye

Hi I'm new to the forum. This is my new piggy called Melody, Melly for short.

Melly is a delight. Very tame, loves her snuggles and sofa time eating her veggies and just chilling out.

One of her eyes is more squinty than the other and there's slight white discharge/crustyness to it. It's very faint but when compared to her other eye it's obvious how squinty it is. Makes her look a bit tired but the other eye on the other side is popped wide open, this one is a bit lazy and watery.

Not sure whether to worry or not ... Advice very welcome ...

With any sort of eye discharge/issue I would always pop along to the vet.
It looks like she might have an infection of some sort, and it will be cleared up easily with the appropriate drops.
I hope you get it sorted quickly.
She is a very beautiful piggie btw.

Your girl may have an irritation or injury to her eye (the latter is often only visible with special dye). Please see a vet promptly when you suspect an eye problem, especially if the squinting continues.

The normal eye cleaning fluid is a milky white. Watery fluid is always sign of an irritation in the eye. This dries to a translucent white crust around the eye.
