squishy poop

so my guinea pig dennis has had pretty squishy poop in clumps for a while now, i have tried giving him a diet of just hay and pellets (with lots of water and no veg) but it didnt make an improvement. i dont know if its just due to age as he is 4 but i have put him back on veg with just cucumber coriander parsley and celery and the poop has stayed the same. i searched it up and it could mean there is an issue with his gut but i really hope it isnt as hes always on meds as he only has one eye help would be appreciated!

If taking him off veg hasn’t helped then he needs to be seen by a vet. In the meantime, remove veg from his diet again and continue to feed him just hay. Have you given him any probiotics to help settle the gut? I’d recommend either fibreplex or poop soup from the very fresh poops of a healthy companion

okay great i'll do that. he isn't on any probiotics, i'll ring my vet today. thanks for your help!
