Hello all. I have been reading another thread regarding food and it was mentioned that the SS grain free does not contain vit C. Is this correct?

I cannot recall having seen anything on the bag either...

Thank you Eriathwen. I'm not overly fond of the composition, even though I feed these to my herd. They are not keen on Bunny....why can't there be a nugget made of compressed hay without all of that other stuff? Yes,I understand the nugget form has to be maintained and everything held together but may contain nuts?!?

Frustrating isnt it! I give mine pure compressed grass and hay pellets from Galens garden from time to time which they enjoy but because they're so used to getting pellets with all the other rubbish in, it's so hard to get them to switch over to them! Especially the babies ive had that come from shops, the newest 2 were given some awful brightly coloured muesli stuff, they're still not too sure of regular pellets never mind the pure hay/grass ones, but from watching the others eat them, they're learning slowly.

Perhaps the reference to traces of nuts is more a warning to allergy sufferers? I imagine that the company uses nuts in some of its foods for other animals, so can't guarantee the absence of traces of nuts in other products from that factory. Some people are allergic to the slightest trace of nuts so they would need to know before handling the nuggets.
