Hi all

I'm really worried about my two boars (I've posted before about them but things seem to be escalating and I don't know what to do).
The larger, more vocal of the two (Cocoa) kind of stalks the other around the cage like a prey animal - is that normal?

He creeps with his body down low and follows Toffee at a distance and when Toffee stops he literally lunges at him.

Toffee has been yawning a lot (but now I understand that yawning isn't like when we do, it's aggressive for them?) and they scuffle and fight almost all day long.

The only saving grace is no blood has been drawn yet!

I really don't know what to do or how much of it is normal? I know they have to sort their hierarchy out but they won't leave one another alone. They always making rattling noises and kind of low growly / rumbly sounds and teeth chattering

I've read through all of the bonding threads on here and it does seem that they're escalating and might end up needing to be separated (last resort). What else can I do to help them bond?

Hi! How old are your boys? Yawning translates as "stay away from me, or I will bite". It is a rather strongly worded version of "Stop it. You are annoying me."

They're only young (I don't know exactly unfortunately, but we believe them to be 10 weeks and 13 weeks or there abouts)

They are just playing at this stage. The teenage hormones tend to wake up around 4 months of age when the testicles start descending.

So I don't need to worry? You've made me feel SO much better – thank you! So I should just leave them to it (unless blood is drawn etc?)
