Adult Guinea Pig
Here are some pigtures of Stan with his new wives
.
The bonding has been going pretty well, all three took to him straight away, although my boss pig is a bit standoffish with him and has now decided to rumble and teeth chatter a little when he comes near. But fingers crossed it will settle down! I haven't put in the hideys yet as Jammy can be very possessive and territorial of the tunnels and the little house they have. To the point she often chases the other two girls whenever they dare to pass. So I will slowly introduce these over time. They currently have a few cardboard boxes and tunnels instead, which I'm sure is a great delight as they are now demolishing them!
Here's Stan
Please excuse our horrific carpet :p we moved only a few months ago, so we've still decide on a new one!
All four together, though shortly after this we had an escapee! Little Dodger decided investigating under the sofa and into the bookcase was far more interesting than hanging around with the others.
Tempted back with some mint leaves!
Although still very shy, Stanley kept coming back over to me as if for reassurance, sniffing my hand and then wandering back to the girls. I have never seen a guinea popcorn so high as he did when he first saw them! I wish I had been ready with my phone to record it. But I was so nervous all I could do was concentrate on them! He has been popcorning a little more this morning, when veg came, and Dodger was doing her usually breakfast lap around her cage, Biscuit wheeking away and Jammy being the troll that she is
p
Will keep you all updated on their progress!
I need to mention a special thanks to Amanda1801 for coming all the way to meet me in Birmingham to transport little Stanley to me! I can't tell you how much it meant to me. Also to Sharon at The Littlest Rescue for allowing this little bundle of gorgeousness to come live with me and my girls (and the boys next door!).
