Treacle has had staples after his biopsy and I'm wondering whether the vet will need to take them out, I forgot to ask. The results will be back next week. image.webp

Also, he has had a local anesthetic. Can I give him metacam today as well?

Yes the vet will take out the staples. Think it's a week or two later that they tend to do it but can't remember what the time period was when my late bumble had a spay. If he's had anaesthetic today then I assume they will have given him pain relief so you would need to call before giving extra today

Thank you Lady Kelly, it was a local anaesthetic and I forgot to ask if they gave him pain relief...they did him so quickly I was too surprised to think!

He is doing very well, so he's probably alright without the metacam. He's a bit wary of me though and shuffles off when he sees me!

Usually the pain relief they provide lasts 24 hours so I wouldn't give Metacam until tomorrow. They certainly will need to take the staples out. I hope the Biopsy comes back with something that isn't nasty x

So pleased to hear Treacle's lump was a fatty lump, you must have been so worried for him. Bet he will be relieved to have the staples gone. :hug:for you both.
