Its Star's turn in need of healing wheeks. I would firstly like to thank Wiebke and especially Pebble for their support and Pebble for her advice.

Star seemed to be showing signs of temp paralysis last week so carried out the initial PG Osteocare treatment. This was follwoed with a vet visit on Saturday which seemed to indicate a possible trauma/pressure on the spine near the neck as all 4 limbs seemed to be weak/stiff.

An Anti inflammatory has been given and this seems to be having some impact as last night Star was moving around better (some small bunny hops rather than dragging her hind legs).

I must point out that through out this Star has been eating voraciously (at the vets when he put her back into her caddy she attacked a piece of cucumber) and is pooing and weeing normally.

We are back fro follow up on Thursday so would welcome all your healing wheeks to help Star before then.

Fingers firmly crossed for Star! I hope that she makes a good recovery!

big hugs from us hope she makes a speedy recovery xxoxo

Poor Star, hope she gets well soon, lots of healing vibes and love from us x

Sending healing vibes to pig and owner :) xxxxx

Update on Star, I think the anti-inflammatory treatment may be working. Last night she was moving better, bunny hopping rather than dragging her back legs and also lifting her head up to see if there were any goodies.

Eating well and also started to munch on the parsley log in the cage. moving from one end of the cage to the other (admittedly slowly).

Wondering whether this may indeed be arthritis in the neck (strangely this runs in MILs family).

Great to see an improvement; a piggy that is moving around under its own steam is a VERY good sign!

More vibes for Star x

Well last night we put some strawberry tops in and Star was like S*&t off a shovel (okay she only moved 12 inches) to barge the others out of the way.

Then this morning after a cuddle we placed her on the floor and she WALKED to the cage and almost climbed in herself.

I would say she has about 75-80% of her normal mobility whereas on Saturday at the vets it was 10-15% and not being to hold her self upright when pushed gently.

Astro is being very attentive and whether Star wants it or not she is getting face washes from the soppy boar.

Star says thank you for the healing wheeks
