Staring...

Is he in the corner of his cage? Like Piggyfan says, is he hunched or fluffed up?

My Hazelnut sometimes sits staring at blank walls. I can never fathom what the attraction is. But as he comes running the minute vegies are served, I reckon he's good.

Aww he is just relaxing. He sounds alert which is a good sign.
It frightened me so much, I don't wanna lose a second guinea pig.... He sometimes watches TV while he eats, and looks around when he lays on his side, trying to sleep. He probably gets bored all day because he has no more friends and I cannot pay 24 hours of attention to him anymore because I get very busy.

My Hazelnut has a cagemate, Peanut Butter, but only Hazelnut stares at walls. Are you going to be getting a friend for Sprite?

We did, but his friend died of pneumonia several days after we got him, and we had to wait a month, but we're going to Greece in July, and we're planning to get him a friend after we come back.

I am sorry you didn't have much time with your other piggy. Enjoy your holiday & good luck in finding Sprite a friend after.

Hi, your last guinea pig, Bacon, died after a week of severe URI symptoms and your parents wouldn't take him to the vet because you said they are saving money to open up a second restaurant. You also dropped Bacon and never got him checked by the vet. On your previous post, you were giving him sugary yogurt that your grandma was putting in the garbage. Please excuse my honesty, I believe this guinea pig is better in a different home than yours. Please find him someone that doesn't mind spending the money and time to make him a healthy and happy guinea pig.

1. I dropped Sprite and we DID take him to the vet
2. Bacon died of pneumonia and we couldn't take him to the vet because my mother is a hard worker, and Bacon got sick after my mom spent most of all of her money.
3. Sprite is fine after eating the yogurt, no, we aren't feeding him anymore, but the yogurt has nothing to do with him right now.
4. Sprite is the world's happiest guinea pig and he actually SMILES and does non-stop happy squeaks whenever I LOOK at him. You have NO right to say that he will be happier in a different home. Sprite is perfectly happy here and has never gotten sick from anything, even after Bacon got sick, Sprite was fine! Sprite has his own little name, "Guinea", that he only responds to if MY FAMILY or I say. He gets plenty of attention is a so spoiled that he loves everything we even do! Including giving him baths even though he hates them! He'll spin around and climb the stairs just to make me smile! I will NOT tolerate any of this, "He will be happier in a different home!" stuff because it's full of Sprite's poo!
