I am rescuing some piggies today and I'm wondering if static lice could somehow get 2ft from my current pigs' cage who annoyingly have them, to the newbies? I really don't want to be treating any more. And what's the best thing to treat pigs with that actually works, or is it best to get a vet to treat them? I have tried gorgeous guineas stuff before and it didn't work, and some other things that I can't remember the names of, lol... But if you know any treatment that has been successful please let me know. xx

Yes definitely get them treated by the vet. Ideally they should have a round of baths too (at least 24 hours after any Ivermectin product is used by the vet) but I would not recommend that with your poorly Scruff.

As for the new ones, is it possible to keep them in a separate room for a couple of weeks? Quarantine should be in a separate air space really and with Scruff's issues (URI?) I would be worried about them being near her.
