Hi,
I think my guinea pig has static mites; tiny, grey specks that cling to the hair around his rump. I can't stroke him without causing some aggravation, and he's constantly scratching his hind legs. I've tried using Johnson's insecticidal shampoo (active ingredient Piperonyl Butoxide) however this has so far prove unsuccessful. On top of that I've tried Beaphar Anti parasite spot on containing Ivermectin. After all this he's still scratching -_- . I just hope I haven't created a new treatment resistant mite...
Any advice on this would be much appreciated! I've read multiple threads with different methods of treatment and am stumped as to which is the best :/
Thanks very much,
LB

Ah thought that would be the case, but it will be a relief to finally get him comfortable again (fingers crossed) Thanks for your feed back :)
