static mites

back from the vets now, static mites (, ive got to collect the treatment tomorrow but i’ve got a question, do i throw away their wooden hides and get new ones or can i somehow disinfect them? and please recommend good wooden ones, they have to be ones with two exits, even though my piggies don’t go under them, they sit on top

If you can get hold of some F10 which is a vet grade disinfectant (can be purchased from Amazon), then you give give your wooden hides a good soak in the solution. You can buy it either ready made in a spray bottle or as a concentrate and then just dilute it according to the instructions yourself - I buy the concentrate as it works out cheaper and lasts for ages.
Throwing away your hay and getting fresh is a an important step though
