Hi

Since i go on holiday and weekends away (not all the time), i'm sure a lot of people now think twice about going away for reasons as, don't want to leave piggies with anyone, the additional cost, boarding with just small animal people (rabbits etc), emergencies, I thought it might be a good idea if piggy owners in Glasgow n thereabouts could take part in "going to see your stay with your aunty". Obviously no cost, apart from supplies is necessary.

My reasons for this purely selfish, i have two piggies and would love more.. now thinking i would love even to be auntie to other piggies and maybe we would cover each other on holidays, emergencies etc.. .i've realised i trust people on this forum, more than my own vet, boarding providers as its a business, even my own family as they are not piggy owners. Someone very kindly offered to look after my piggies a while ago, which i thought was extremely nice idea but send them to boarding.. I think i would prefer they went to other piggy owner to socialise and have same leve of homecare.

What does everyone think?

Hiya,

We think this is a great idea although we are probably too far away to participate :( It would be good if you could build up a network of " auntys" in Glasgow. We know that when we decide to go away the piggys accomodation is sorted long before ours is and we would worry too much if they were left at home with someone coming in to feed them.

Best of luck with this

Hi Lisa

If you were ever leaving from Glasgow Airport, I would be willing to take them for you, as i have extra 120 cage. Pack your suitcase, bikini and piggies.. I'm afraid no garden but plenty of play pen time and hopefully that will change in the near future, as I'm looking for house with garden...

My partner says i have to go to guinea pigs anonymous and he's right no-one i know really gets my attachment to them except people on this forum..

hopefully more members will be interested.

Susan
