Sterile Cystitis

The white patches are calcium being excreted in the urine. It is ok if it happens every now and then.
What isn’t ok is if it happens all the time (suggests the balance in the diet isn’t right) or if it is gritty when touched.

Dried forage tends to be a bit higher in calcium so I personally only ever fed pellets or dried forage but not both on the same day.

It is about finding a balance which works for your piggies while keeping in mind that having calcium too low will cause issues just as too high does.

(I personally don’t feed any pellets now. I live in a hard water area (it’s filtered) and instead give high calcium veg once a week).
