Steve will be 40 in May and i am making a tapestry foot stool for him.

so far it has taken me a month and i have now finished the green. it will take me at least another month to finish the cat

what do you think?

i seem to have this compulsion to buy tappestry kits and wool in the last year! i am trying to finish one project before i start another, but it is very hard!
 
I'm the same with my knitting and cross stitch :)). Though I prefer to have many, as my attention span for one project is that of a toddler mallethead
 
i can now do straight knitting and purling, but i haven't mastered knit one purl one yet and adding in another colour. it took me 3 months to make a scarf for Steve! LOL

i have started getting the knit and stitch magazine that comes out every week with 2 balls of wool. i haven't done any of it yet!

by the way i did my first cross stitch last year and it took me 8 months

Looks fab, i used to do a lot of cross stitch don't have as much time now infact still working on one i brought when my oldest dog was a puppy and shes now 14 and three quarters done :))
 
Oh wow that is going to be fab when you finish it! Do show us a picture when it's done!
