Harley, our much loved bad haired Aby looked a mess :...
Earlier in the week, I noticed he had been looking a bit tatty on his lower back where one of his rosettes are so being his faithful slave, decided a bath was due :)
Horrors as he looked as tatty but blood tinged the next morning so whisked him out of his pen again much to his disgust for a thorough inspection (and fast dial vet's thinking he had mites or something)
Mmm, nothing going on so kept an eye on him until we discovered the little monkey has been sleeping under his water bottle that has his daily cranberry juice (for his bladder issues) as it must keep him cool so is now nick named 'sticky pig' mallethead
Tut tut, these piggies will put me into an early grave...:o

Cranberry juice in the water bottle for bladder problems? That is genius :) and I had a similar sorta issue with one of mine. (Maple) She developed dermatitis near her sebum gland, first thought she had mites or something so straight to the vets. Two weeks and two baths later she's almost got all her fur back. And a week after...! Saw she had some scabs or something and went bald on her chest & belly! I reckon Maple gonna be my problem Piggle, something always wrong with her! ?/

Similar situation with my pigs and there summer strawberries! Forgot i’d given them the night before when it was dark so hadn’t seen the mess they’d made untill the morning when my usually white chinned guinea pig looked as if he’d been out for a vampire feast, came close to a heart attack, felt very silly when i realised what had really happened though :<>

I swear they do it to scare us, they get a little guinea pig thrill out seeing there slaves all flustered.

That is funny! Reminds me of the time I took Hazelnut in to the vet because of a raisin like spot on him. Turned out to be his willy! The vet didn't charge me thankfully.

It is strawb season here so we are out doing PYO almost every weekend as there are heaps of strawberry farms around us. The boys have never liked strawbs. Yesterday we picked 1kilo of the lovely stuff. So I thought I'd try them on the boys again, all nicely slivered into their salad dishes. Nope, not even a nibble. But guess which furry does like strawbs - the dog I got from the RSPCA last Feb!

Hee hee, happy pooch :)
Our piggies don't care for strawberries, the tops are good for them so painstakingly chopped them all off (ate the fruit myself :x) and they still walked off :(
Blueberries are more favoured here rolleyes

Ha ha! :)) He likes to keep his slaves on their toes! Little monkey x)
