I still have a Gueina pig with mucus covered poop and holes in them been to the vets twice with her now still no answer. I'm starting to think now that this is a diet issue but still a lot of guess work. I'm wondering weather to strip them of veg this weekend to see if that helps. At the moment there on b and m Timothy and meadow hay but is there anything better I can try ? Also is it worth putting her on oxbow vit c tablets while I do this ?

The holes could indicate gas, I would definitely stop veg for 48 hours and phase it back in slowly. You could also try giving Gripe water to help disperse any gas. What veg do you feed?

You could try some of the Oxbow hays as a treat or Alfalfa King timothy hay. You may need to buy online though.

It has been going on for about 6 weeks now some days are worse then others. She has kale spinach carrot cucumber and parsnip but at the moment that's all I've tried her on at the moment. Some of them are covered in sticky clear mucus at the tips which is the bit I'm a bit worried about but I will try taking her of veg for a few days.

I have never seen pooh with holes in before, how odd. The photo of the pile of pooh looks a bit pinky, there's no blood is there?
