Junior Guinea Pig
My guinea pig Pippa has recently passed a bladder stone, shes still on antibiotics for them but a couple days ago she started squeaking slightly whilst she was urinating. Theres no blood, and shes fine in herself still eating and drinking. We wanted to see if she'd stop before taking her to a vet, anyone have an idea of why she could still be doing this?
Also she has lost some weight since being on the baytril. When we first put her on the antibiotics we weren't given probiotics so she was on them a while without them, and being a first time piggy owner I wasn't aware of the effects baytril has on a piggie without the use of antibiotics. She wasn't eating as much when she was put on them plus she was constantly occupied with trying to get my other piggies poos. Now shes on the probiotics shes eating normally again, i'm not sure of her weight before but I know it was in the 1000's. Starting from now i'm going to weigh her weekly and she is currently 1095 grams. Is that normal for a 2year old female?
