Stinging Nettles...?

Yesterday I successfully made nettle soup for myself, and was surprised at the yummy taste. It made me think up 2 questions-

• Can Guineas eat nettles?
• Can they get stung by them?

I have given mine young nettle leaves, they ate them and didn't seem to be stung (I also wasn't when I picked them) but they prefer cleavers

Nettles are a definite NO, never fresh nettles

If it stings you it will sting them.....

I have heard in the past dried nettles in the same way there is dried dandelion. But NEVER fresh.

If you dont want to dry them then blanching also kills the stings.
