My rex constantly lies in his own wee (and poo), his belly is always wet and he smells :-\ i gave him a bath yesterday but he quickly became stinky and soggy again! My other boar is never like this. I presume there's nothing I can do about it? He's only a year old and is in good health, just has hygiene issues ;D

Same with my boar wilson... his belly is soggy and when i had his cage and cindys cage (C+C) next to eachother wilsons was way messy and cindys was soo clean :) I would also like to know why this is? :)

Some of them just don't mind what they do and where they do it ::) ::)
You're doing the right thing tho, regular bathing and regular changing of his bedding he might just get the hint well you can hope :-*

lol... how often should piggies be bathed? can bathing them too often cause skin problems or baldness? ;D

the only one of mine to do this is Jinx and that was becasue his back end was paralised and weak , now hes getting stronger he is fine

Merlin is a disgustingly dirty, stinky and unhygienic pig

He covers me in poo smells and lies in big pools of wee

He doesnt seem to care though and that makes me love him more :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

He sounds charming Billiesmum! Got to love a pig with character :smitten:

Heheheh, Merlin sounds fab! Pie isn't bothered by it either, so maybe I shouldn't worry, just thought it may not be healthy for him lying on his wet fat belly but I guess if it was uncomfortable, he'd move! He's a dream to bathe, unlike Pudding who is convinced I'm gonna drown him, so I'll just put up with him smelling with wee until his next bath :)
