just wondering if anyone can help
we have just taken in a female guinea pig who is 2 years old, she has just lost her cage mate and is being kept indoors and always has been.
We have always had guinea pigs and currently have 1 male who is neutered and 4 females who all live together.
The new guinea pig has a very distinctive smell - my mum says it smells like halitosis. We have tried to bath her but this didnt change the smell. Its not her teeth/bum/ears/poo, its her body/fur. We have also used special guinea pig spray but after 2 minutes the normal smell was back again.
Any advice would be great
Thanks

Please have her seen by a vet as soon as you can and thoroughly checked.
