I ordered two bags of stir fry veg from Tesco last week by mistake and we won't use the second one before the use by date, so I wondered about feeding it to the guinea pigs. Problem is that it has onions in it. Am I right in thinking they can't eat onions?

If that's the case, would it be ok to feed it to them if I carefully took all the onion slices out first?

What else has it got in it? Onions and mushrooms are no good. Any baby sweet corn or pepper, they'd go down well.

Cabbage, carrots, yellow pepper and bean sprouts. No mushrooms as one of the children won't eat them!

I've picked onions out of stir fry veg and the piggies loved it - much more than I did - didn't have enough flavour for merolleyes

I give my girls Asda Stir Fry Veg and they absolutley love it!

If you are thinking about this for the future and you shop in asda be careful as they do 2 different types. One of them has leeks in and I am sure they can't have leeks?

The other is a very good option, lots of variety and not too expensive! :))

I buy Asda stir fry (50p a bag) and Tesco have a huge £1 bag but it's too full of beanspouts for me (the tesco one) I stick to the pepper stirfry and asda cabbage stirfry :)
