Stocking Up?

Does anyone 'stock up' on piggy items for winter (food, hay, bedding?) As well as non piggy necessities?
I'm not usually one to bulk buy anything, but even when we get a pathetic sprinkling of snow people seem to head to their nearest shops and proceed to raid the shelves (not leaving much left for little unprepared old me) haha.
Thinking of getting some long life milk, few tinned bits, juice, loo rolls, toothpaste that sort of stuff.
For the pigs; an extra bag of pellets and a pack of the wagg hay. Not sure what the hay is like as I've never used it before but it's very compact and should be OK for emergencies?
What do you like to stock up on if anything?
 
I stock up on hay, always make sure I've an unopened one as one finishes. I like to make sure I've got a bag of the dried herb/dandelion type mix just in case I can't get out for fresh veg either because of illness or weather, it would do in an emergency for a day. Stop the piggies looking for veggies anyway. It's never happened that one of us couldn't get something but you never know. I always make sure I've got the next bag of nuggets ready as well.
 
I stock up on most things animal anyway, I have over 23 kilos of nuggets for the pigs right now :))

I stock up on hay too as I get 9kgs at a time. I even have a first aid kit for the animals.

In case of emergencies I grow herbs and weeds (and grass of course!) so if I can't get any I forage from what I have.

I stock up on cat food too, about 6-8 months supply of dry food, a month of wet food and like a year's supply of snail food XD

But if we get stuck in bad weather I have nothing for humans :))

Well if you did get snowed in, looks like you'll be eating GoCat with milk !
Snail food? What do they eat?
I like buying the big bags of hay as I like to think people assume its for a a pony! :D

I love the idea of the dried herb forage mix.

I have 5 pigs so gotta stock up! :D

Haha even better, Canagan and spam probably! :))

The snails eat loads of things like fish flakes, layers pellets and special snail food and veg, they're pretty set for a while!

Haha yea the delivery chap who has to lug the hay probably has questions XD
