Got home from work tonight to discover someone had stolen my pigs run from the communal garden. They did kindly leave the net tho! It was an inexpensive run but I'm more peed off that the girls now can't go outside before the bad weather comes. I can't get my head around who would take such a thing, it's bulky,heavy and awkward to carry! The police can't do anything because there's no CCTV in the street.

If anyone knows of any light weight, easy to take inside every night runs please let me know xx
 
Thieving scum! I'm sorry but I hate thieves! Sorry you and your piggies are victims of this horrible crime :(
 
I have a portable run which folds flat not lightweight, but I brought it so I could store it in the winter in the garage
 
Thank goodness your piggy's weren't in the run at the time.
 
It's just frustrating. I've seen some fabric runs that look easy to store away (I live in a flat with no storage space). I'm so glad I don't leave them out when I'm not home. I would die if they got stolen!
 
Awful that someone would do this especially for all they cost!
 
Ah I didn't think of that. I was leaving the run out over night because it was so awkward to try & fold and it just wouldn't lie flat making it a pain to keep anywhere & carry up 2 flights of stairs. I'll have a wee look over the next few days for something new but it may have to wait a few months.
 
Ugh.. Can't stand thieves! No matter how big or small the item may be!

I'm tempted to leave it outside for the thieves with a note, signed by my piggies, guilt trip them!
 
People will steal anything with no thought of consequences. Caught on Sydney CCTV a young moron untied a dog tied up outside a shop to steal the dog's lead. The dog ran out into the road and was hit by a car, horrific injuries, had to be PTS. Cost of said lead? About 3 pounds. Lucky your piggies were not in the run..
 
Sorry to hear about your run, some people are just awful.
Was your run a metal fence style one with posts to join the pieces? We have that one with a net & leave it outside set up in our front garden (easily accessible by anyone) but I often worry it could get stolen by metal thieves.

Yeah. It was the 8sided metal one with the long spikes that go into the grass & the green net ontop. My back garden only has access through the main flat door or a locked back gate. My neighbour had his bike stolen 2weeks ago too.
 
There's a lot of scrap metal thieves around. Someone in our street had a part stolen from their car exhaust while it was parked outside their house.
I'll make sure I don't leave my run outside again!
