I was holding Autumn a few minutes ago, and I heard her stomach make a weird sound. I don't hear this sound throughout the day, it was just this one time... I might just be paranoid. I gave her a quick health check, to be safe. Her eyes are bright and she's eating normally. Her stool seems normal, maybe a tad soft (I'll include a picture). I don't believe this is an emergency for a vet appointment, because she's acting normal and eating/drinking healthily. Should I stop giving her veggies for awhile to help her stomach? If that's what it comes down too, how many days should I take it out of her diet?

I would just keep an eye on her and weigh her more than usual, this happened with my pig once but nothing stemmed from it. If you feel like it's an issue call a vet :)

If her poops have softened then it could be a slight gut imbalance. If you take her off veg then you should keep her off it for 24-48 hours after her poops have returned to normal.

Poo’s are the key here.

Stomach noises happen in some pigs, Widget our oldest stomach is always making noise you can hear it across room, keep eye on poo if it normal then nothing to be concerned over

Hi!

Guinea pig guts like cow or horse guts need to gurgle constantly. If they are deadly silent, your guinea pig is experiencing a life-threatening GI stasis (the guts have stopped working).

Sometimes they can gurgle very loudly if the normal fermentation process is going into overdrive.
If you are really worried, simply skip the next feed of veg and other fresh food and pellets in order to allow to the gut to sort itself out again just on plain hay, which should make over 85% of the daily food intake anyway.

See veg and pellets as daily treats in addition to the unlimited hay rather than the mainstay of the diet because that is how guinea pigs have evolved by eating mostly dry grass with whatever fresh grass, edible green stuff and berries etc. they come across.
That is the diet that allows them be healthiest and live longest. It is more the carefully selected quality of a few veg and fresh herbs than the amount that counts.
Pellets should be only 1 tablespoon per piggy per day and can be left out of a diet completely if you supplement with dried forage instead.

Before I went to work this morning, I took out the pellets and skipped her morning veggies. I give her one cup but I give her half in the morning then the other half in the afternoon. Should I give her the pellets and veggies tonight? Or, is she ok without them for 24 hours?

See how her gut is, but she is OK without veg and pellets for several days if necessary. We recommend to drop any fresh food with any minor or major tummy upset, whether that is soft poos or a slightly gassy digestion to proper runny diarrhea, full-out bloat and GI stasis. ;)

Most people are not aware that hay and grass actually contain vitamin C, which is the reason why guinea pigs do not have the need to produce their own, unlike rabbits. ;)

(Update)

I only kept hay as part of her diet for two days, I think she’s feeling better. Autumn drank almost all of her water (I refill it when it gets halfway through). I also think her stool is back to normal, but I wanted to post a picture on here to get another opinion if it looks better? Sorry for the grossness, I didn’t spotclean yet, considering she went to the bathroom overnight.

The pellets still look a little dark to me, so give her another day off fresh veg, but don't worry. Guinea pigs get a large and in some cases all their fluid from their fresh veg, so of course they will drink more when they have no longer access to them! ;)

We have probably I'd estimate over 100 pellets of poo in a day with both our new GPS. I pick up 10 to 20 hourly

Thank you for your help, Wiebke. I'll give another update tomorrow. I did give give her back the Oxbow Pellets, today. She ran right over to them as if she hasn't seen them for days or something :yahoo:.

How do they look today? If I can start giving her veggies, how much and what should I give her?
