Stopped wheeking?

Hi. Millie (year and a half) has been paired with Hetty for over 3 weeks now and things have generally been good. She is rumble strutting a lot but think this is normal dominance phase. She has never done it before so even she looks slightly confused. But she normally wheeks so loudly for food and a fuss and stands at the bars. She is still standing at the bars but hasn’t wheeked at all for at least 5 days and seems far less vocal than she was. Any suggestions?

Maybe she's decided that as the dominant she wants Hetty to become the designated wheeker? My dominant rarely wheeks, he just prods the other boy to go and beg for both of them. Are they otherwise happy and thriving?

Thanks. They seem to be fine and it’s going well. Millie is still mostly silent. I miss her screams for food but she is still begging up and happy. Feel bad saying this but I’m struggling to bond with newbie Hetty but sure it’ll come with time.
