I'm aware that Critical Care has a relatively short shelf life and is not used that often (hopefully!). However I do like to keep a pouch in the house "just in case".

Is there any way of extending its life... Can the pouches be frozen for example?

Any info is much obliged.

i got told you can freeze it........ but i'd wait and see what more experienced and up to date peeps say :)

(i had the same problem with Duke years ago!)

You know what i've emailed Oxbow a few times and they're really good at replies.....maybe a few days for a return one.......but i'd send them an email and ask this question -c

It lasts 6 months past it's sell by date in the freezer. Just take it out and use as you need it and store the packet in the freezer as Glynis advised :)!
