Storing Metacam

My vet prescribed Metacam for Bess today ( she got a hay poke) . Her hay poke is clearing up nicely now the vet has removed the foreign body - so I don't think she is going to need the whole bottle of Metacam .


I know it can be kept for 6 months after opening . - Is it best kept in the fridge ?

We keep ours in the fridge but am not sure if it is necessary. Glad her hay poke is healing well.

Oh yes - I wouldn't give any of my guinea pigs Metacam without my vet knowing.

I don't think you have to refrigerate, I keep mine in a cupboard.

I store mine in a cupboard too. When I need some I pour sufficient into a smaller bottle to lessen the chances of contamination x
