Just thought I would post pigtures of my latest foster pig and tell you his story.
Well yesterday was hard for our family as my big boy Pepper was put to sleep and I sobbed on and off most of the day and had to console my 8 year old daughter who took it especially bad.

But piggie life goes on, as they say, and a little man called Leonard needed a foster home. So Leonard joined us the day Pepper left us.
He is very shy and very overwhelmed, basically he is petrifi
ed:(

Leonard was found dumped in a box with a bunch of piggies at a skip.
The person who found them dropped them off at the vet. The vet nurses looked after them and treated them for mites and malnutrition.
Some didnt make it and the Sows had pups most died. They were paired up and the vet nurses kept most... apart from Leonard so he has come into rescue to be found a home

He is a gorgeous boy. But terrified which is so sad to watch.
He has Barney and Salt as his neighbour and he has just discovered that if he peeks his head high enough (if he dare) he can see Barney Bubbles.

Its such a shame this little man is so so frightened - he will be shown what TLC is from here on.
 
Oh gosh he's so handsome. How people can dump them always makes me wonder.

He's going to have a lovely life. :)
 
Oh poor Leonard, how can someone do that. Well he's come to the right place for some TLC.
 
oh he is beautiful, I'm sure with a little love and affection he'll soon come out of his shell

Poor little lad, he is gorgeous. I'm sure he will come out of his shell living with you and seeing how he should have been treated!
 
What a little cutie. It makes me so angry that people can be so cruel. I hope he gains confidence. I am so glad he is with you safe.

Rip all the little piggies that didnt make it, and heres to a fab life for Leonard.

Well done to you and your family for being strong enough to give another piggy a chance at a loving life x

This new little guy looks goregous, hes lucky to have a safe new home with you guys. x>>
 
oh i just want to love him! he does look so scared, well done you for finding the strength so soon after losing pepper to take him, he is meant to be with you x
 
grr i get so mad when i hear about animals being dumped like garbage. so glad that he has found solace with you. good luck helping him, and I'm very sorry to hear about pepper. xx
 
Can't believe someone would dump him, glad he is now safe and with you now, he is beautiful. Very sorry to read about Pepper x
 
He is gorgeous, it's so sad when they look so terrified especially piggies that have been neglected and dumped:(

I have taken on two piggies that were found in a box dumped, and one of them was absolutely terrified at first he is coming round now but is still very nervous but they are lovely:)
 
Aww what a sweetie, he's so handsome. Can't believe he was dumped, poor love glad he is with you now.
 
He's so beautiful. So glad you managed to take him on, hopefully he will gain some confidence once he's got used to a loving home. x

leonard is so cute! the best way to a piggy's heart is through his stomach, so with some bribery i'm sure he'll soon start to feel comfortable with you. well done for fostering x
 
Really sorry to hear about Pepper - hope you and your family are OK. I find the rainbow bridge section a bit daunting which is why I didn't post there but have been thinking of you.:)

Little Leonard is just lovely. I am sure you will soon be winning his trust with your magic boar powers and /or cucumber. A possible future friend for Barney?

He has found his wheek now and joins in at veggy time, though he thinks I'm gonna eat him when he see's me. Half of his cage is covered over in fleece to give him a bit of privacy.

Not sure about our Barmy Barney yet, he is quite character, bossy and pushy, no wonder he survived when he was found half dead he really is a fighter.
My own boy Salt thinks he's a bit too big for his boots. Now Pepper's gone I will be letting Salt choose his next friend, he's not fussed about Barney I might try him with Leonard once he's settled.

I will be putting photo up in rehoming soon of Bert & Ernie, now they are adorable personalities, and they have a wonderful bond x) And Salt likes them, he has a wander up to their playtime run to sneak a boy kiss :))

But oh my! He is a looker!

How...Could you NOT want piggies? They're just the greatest.

Hope you and your family are ok loosing a pet is awful.

How can people leave pets like this??/
I'm glad hes found you and will now learn what tlc and love and proper food is, sometimes I think fate is true.

He is sooooooooooooooo gorgeous! Hopefully he'll find a forever home - looking as he does it surely wont be long to wait!

I can never fathom why humans are so hateful to defenceless harmless little creatures. If they no longer want them then that is fine but surely any decent person would take them to the local vet or pet shop. Fortunately this person left the piggies in a well-used place and they were found but it could have been a much different story. Grrrrrrrrrrrr!
 
Stories of people dumping piggies makes me physically sick.

And stabs a pain through my heart that hurts so much.

He's a little sweetheart!
