Strange behaviour

One of my girls is behaving strangely today and I don't know if I should be worried. She is just over 2 years old and the dominant pig of my three girls.
Today she is staying in her house and ignoring food, which is VERY unlike her. But the odd bit is she is squeaking, sounding like she is straining, and pushing herself up away from the ground. If I didn't know better I'd say she was giving birth (we have had her since the end of June, the other 2 girls have been with us since mid-July and are definitely girls, so there is no way she could be pregnant).
Should I be worried?
 
I’m sorry to hear this.

This is of concern. Please do get her seen by a vet - this could be any number of things but she sounds like she could be in discomfort.

Switch from the weekly weight checks and instead weigh her daily and step in with syringe feeding (she needs fibre going through her gut so she doesn’t go into stasis if she is not eating hay).

This does sound like pain/discomfort and she needs to see a vet. Plenty of things can cause these symptoms, like bladder infection, bladder stones, etc., that will need vet assessment and intervention. I hope she feels better soon!

Great! It could be a stone coming down the urethra amongst other potential health issues that require a hands-on examination.

I am keeping my fingers firmly crossed that it is nothing serious.

Awww, poor baby! Wishing her a good surgery and a fast recovery! All the best and good on you for getting her seen so quickly!
