That's a bit of a shocker, generally penicillin is a big no no for pigs but there have been cases on here over the last year where the vet has given it by injection. Glad it seems to have helped though.

Yeh he sadi that (it was good i suppose that he knew) and said it was risky but we accepted the risk. It seems to have done the trick, touch wood! That's the main thing!

glad he seems better overall. i've only had experience of using penicllin injections with my two rabbits but it worked wonders for one of them in particular :)

Thank you! yeh he seems - touch wood - to be on the mend so it's obviously had a good effect on him - still nursing him a little but hopefully this time the vet proved right! :)

So last night he was in is bed all night, when u take his bed off he'll run out and eat, but not so much 'on his own' anyway this morning we noticed he's eaten a bit of his breakfast but no poos. So we checked his bum and my goodness, I think he's a little impacted. I tried to get out as much as i could without hurting him, he was a very good boy bles shim! But my god, what a smell! goodness!

Anyway managed to clear a lot of it so hopefully he starts to feel a bit better maybe that's whats making him feel a bit rough and now he will feel better! We'll see

He is gorgeous. I love squirrel type coloured piggies. The nickname for one of my Agouti boys was Squirrel.

Hope he's feeling better :D

yeh hes adorable but difficult to see in dark corners of his cage which I'm sure he knows!

thank you i can;t wait to get home and find out! Henry, his brother who lives apart from him, is getting a bit jealous lol, might have to start him a thread in the general forum!

i'll pass on all your wishes to Arthur as I have been all week! thank you :)

I know the frustration. I have 2 black pigs and for some crazy reason I keep buying dark coloured fleece bedding.

We have to have a photo of Henry too, it's only fair! :D

haha thank you! i love them to bits bless them and they are total opposites, Henry is loud and bouncy enough for the two of them! :)

thanks again for all your wishes :)
