Strange Eyes And Ears

[Maisy and Poppy]

Hi,
My guinea pig Maisy has had strange ears for a while.
I took her to the vets and they said that it was mites so gave her an injection.
Around January I noticed that they were scratching a lot. I took them to the vets but she did not believe that I had seen mites so told me to come back if I had managed to get them on sellotape.
I came back and the piggys got a spot on they were still scratching so got an injection.
Maisy eyes seem watery and her ears seem strange.
Here are Poppy's ears and eyes - the dark ones - compared to Maisy's ears and eyes - the creamy pinky ones - .

It is hard to tell from your photos, but both pairs of eyes and ears look okay to me. Poppy may have a bit of fatty or pea eye but that is completely harmless and nothing to worry about.
How is it going with the mite treatments?

To be honest, I can't see much wrong. Caan you please be a bit more precise as to what is wrong with the ears?
What kind of mites do you think you have seen? Mange mites are invisible. Are you thinking ear mites, fur mites or lice?

I'm not sure what mites they are but Maisy's ear seems a bit rough and her skin very pink like it is irritated and sore.

They are not lice as I know what lice are and have helped a friend get her piggies diagnosed and treated so I know the difference between live and mites.
